Jay Pineda, CEO of startup Whiz Philippines Innovations (Whiz Ph) and a current MTM Batch 2019 student, is recently recognized in the prestigious Manuel L. Quezon Gawad Parangal 2020 held at Quezon City Hall last October 31, 2020. This makes him the youngest awardee in the history of the award-giving body.
With his startup company, he initiated Sak.AI QC and NCOV Bot PH to help the government with its fight against COVID-19 pandemic. Both the projects enabled the country to speed up adoption to Artificial Intelligence (AI) by enabling Filipinos to understand its value and potential. Jay also created an online challenge called #SalamatFrontliners to give back to the country’s frontliners.
Sak.AI QC is a community initiative project developed for the commuters. Commuting in the entire city made easy with friendly AI empowered chatbot. It covers all the transport directions in the city: Jeepneys, UV Express, P2P, Busses, Trains, Shuttles and more.
NCOV Bot PH SAM (Suitable Aid for Medical needs) is an Artificial Intelligence empowered bot friend that will automatically answer relevant questions 24/7 about the COVID-19 pandemic (symptoms, online consultation, preventive measures, find nearest hospitals, initialize risk assessment, important national updates, etc.).
Kudos Jay and Whiz PH for innovative projects during COVID-19!
